These are various original lesson plans. In some cases the plan is very rough as I knew where I meant to go and I've had no time to sweeten it for this venue, in other cases I have detailed the audience and objective.
All of my lesson plans have an application, though one might not be listed with the plan. Most of these can be adapted to any age, but most of them were written with Jr High age in mind.
For legal purposes all of these are copyright to me as of the day I wrote them or at least by their posting date. Rights to use, copy and distribution are fully and freely granted provided that there is no charge made for use of the material and there is no plagiarism. I would appreciate hearing from you if you find these lesson plans helpful.

Two recent articles from the newspaper (names and details have been altered):
Sally (an actress whose name you would recognize if I were to tell you) and her artist boyfriend Fred are getting more serious about their relationship. At least that's what people are saying after Sally, 22, was spotted in Fred’s hometown of Burbank, California. She was there to meet the 29 year old's parents. "Fred's dad runs an art school there," an insider told this reporter. The insider thought the two had a smashing meeting with his parents.
At least 10 people were arrested and charged with felony conspiracy to commit gaming in connection with the ring that operated between 4th and 6th streets. The shell game is one of the oldest cons in the book. It involves quickly moving a small, round object beneath one of three shells or bottle caps mounted on a table or cardboard box. Operators flash a wad of cash to entice passersby and employ shills to make the game look winnable. By the time the victim chooses a shell, the object has already vanished, thanks to sleight of hand. Those arrested included Jay, 77, the one who manipulated the shells, and Steve, 32, believed to be the group's enforcer, Lt. Vernon said. Police said they seized a butcher knife with a 4-inch blade from Steve.

What is a temple?
Dictionary.com: 1. an edifice or place dedicated to the service or worship of a deity or deities.
read I Cor. 3:16 - 17
That’s the plural form of “you” there. Like “ya’ll” – not “you” as an individual. We, the believers, are the temple of God. Not individually, but as the group – the citizens of the Kingdom of God, the church.

Written to “Those who are saints and are faithful.” Early manuscripts do not contain the words “at Ephesus” – this was probably a letter intended to be passed around to churches in that area and the name “Ephesus” was just stuck in later. Written by Paul, roughly 60 – 63 AD, (30 to 33 years past the crucifixion/resurrection/ascension of Christ) . |

The time may come when you will suffer for the cross. The day may be far off, or it may be tomorrow or even today. The key, according to James, is to resolve to be resolute in what we believe. Often, we get tempted by the concept that living for Christ is something we can do in secret, that we don't have to let anyone know if we're saved, that they will "figure out" that we're saved because we go to church. You need to establish in your heart where you stand on the issue of identity with Christ, and the love and obedience that he calls you to. It could lose you all your friends; it could make you a social outcast; it could get you hurt. Ready? |
