An old photo of a temple

What is a temple?

Dictionary.com: 1. an edifice or place dedicated to the service or worship of a deity or deities.

read I Cor. 3:16&17

That’s the plural form of “you” there. Like “ya’ll” – not “you” as an individual. We, the believers, are the temple of God. Not individually, but as the group – the citizens of the Kingdom of God, the church.

Steve was a single father. His wife abandoned him and their daughter, “Rachel” when she was only 2 years old. When she was 10, Rachel joined little league. Their league had a rule that the parents had to run the snack bar for one game every season in order to help the league have the money it needed. Steve was signed up for the big Friday evening game when it was expected there would be a lot of people in attendance. But Steve was a plumber and got an emergency call, then a water heater that he was working on burst and flooded out the customer’s house. He had to clean it up quickly or he’d be liable for thousands of dollars in damages. He forgot all about the snack bar.

Diana's TempleWritten to “Those who are saints and are faithful.” Early manuscripts do not contain the words “at Ephesus” – this was probably a letter intended to be passed around to churches in that area and the name “Ephesus” was just stuck in later.

Written by Paul, roughly 60 – 63 AD, (30 to 33 years past the crucifixion/resurrection/ascension of Christ) .
